As communicated by IBM in the End of Life / End of Support Announcement: All Editions of IBM Platform LSF V9 Family, IBM Platform Analytics, IBM Spectrum LSF Suite for HPC 10.1.x, IBM Spectrum LSF Suite for Workgroups 10.1.x, IBM will end support in April 2022 for the IBM LSF Suite version 9 components of Platform Suite for SAS and the Platform Web Services component delivered with SAS^® Grid Manager for Platform in prior releases of SAS. 

• If you are using Platform Suite for SAS^® 8.1 and 9.1 releases, SAS KB0036351 (UNIX) and SAS KB0036352 (Microsoft Windows) provide instructions on how to upgrade to Platform Suite for SAS^® 12.1. These upgrades are available for the SAS^® 9.4M2 (TS1M2), SAS^® 9.4M3 (TS1M3), and SAS^® 9.4M4 (TS1M4) releases that include IBM LSF Suite version 10 components.

  After you upgrade to Platform Suite for SAS 12.1, the product is supported fully until April 2023, pending the negotiations between SAS and IBM regarding extending support for Platform Web Services 9.x.
   

• If you are using SAS Grid Manager for Platform on SAS 9.4M2, SAS 9.4M3, SAS 9.4M4, SAS^® 9.4M5 (TS1M5), and SAS^® 9.4M6 (TS1M6), IBM Platform Web Services 9.x will reach its end of support in April 2022. SAS is negotiating with IBM to extend support for Platform Web Services 9 for additional time. Pending the success of this negotiation, you are supported until April 2023, at which time you will need to upgrade your system to the SAS^® 9.4M7 (TS1M7) release or later to be fully supported.

See these important notices about support and available components for specific SAS releases:

• SAS will provide a hot fix that enables you to upgrade the Platform Web Services component from 9.x to 10.x for SAS Grid Manager for Platform.
• The out-of-the-box SAS 9.4M5 release includes Platform Suite for SAS 10.1, which includes IBM LSF Suite version 10 components.
  
  SAS Grid Manager for Platform on SAS 9.4M5 includes IBM Platform Web Services 9.1.3.2. Pending SAS and IBM negotiations for extended Platform Web Services 9.x support, the product is fully supported until 2023. After that time, you need to take action to upgrade your SAS software to receive standard support.
  
  Note: SAS cannot provide an upgrade to the Platform Web Services component for SAS Grid Manager for Platform for SAS 9.4M5 because the IBM component is compiled with Java 8, and the SAS 9.4M5 Private JRE is version 7. These two Java versions are not compatible.
   
• The out-of-the-box SAS 9.4M6 release includes Platform Suite for SAS 11.1, which includes IBM LSF Suite version 10 components.
• The out-of-the-box SAS 9.4M7 release includes IBM LSF Suite version 10 components.
